Our hygienists at Audubon Dental Group are gentle and caring professionals who work with our patients to achieve optimal oral health.  They are prevention-oriented, stressing good home care in conjunction with regular professional dental hygiene visits.  The hygienists will individualize treatments for each patient to determine how often professional cleanings should be performed and if any additional services are necessary.  These services may include deep scalings, localized antibiotic placement, or periodontal maintenance cleanings. 

Michelle Schexnider, RDH

Michelle Schexnider has been a dental hygienist at Audubon Dental Group for ten years. She graduated from LSU School of Dentistry in 1997 and 1998, with an associate’s and a bachelor of science degree, with an emphasis on periodontal disease and hospital dentistry. Michelle is a native New Orleanian and a Saints fan. She has four children, including one set of twins. She works Monday to Friday.

Carrie Daigle, RDH

Carrie Daigle, a New Orleans native, attended Loyola University and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from LSU School of Dentistry in 2002. Carrie is a member of the American Dental Hygienist’s Association and serves of the board for the New Orleans Dental Hygienists Association. An active member of the Junior League of New Orleans, Carrie can also be seen in local community musical theatre productions. She has been a member of the Audubon Dental Group staff since 2006.

Leslie LaGrange, RDH

Leslie LaGrange is a New Orleans native and a longtime employee of Audubon Dental Group. She worked as an assistant for nine years. In 2006, she graduated from LSU School of Dentistry and began working as a registered dental hygienist. She is an active member of the New Orleans Dental Hygiene Association, the American Dental Hygiene Association as well as a member of the volunteer group Junior League of New Orleans. She is an avid LSU and Saints fan and a Hornets season ticket holder. Leslie works Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Who Dat !

Amne Young, RDH

Amne Young has been a dental hygienist at Audubon Dental Group since December of 2008. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in Jackson. Amne grew up in Greenville, Mississippi and moved to New Orleans in August of 2008. Her unusual name has been passed down through generations. She currently works Monday through Friday and some Saturdays.
